At the heart of our air combat training systems is the instrumentation pod, typically mounted on a wingtip weapon station. The pods collect in-flight events and data, and transmit information to ground stations for real-time monitoring of exercise events and the post-mission debriefs. Our advanced pods incorporate GPS technology to provide continuous and precise position tracking of all players, as well as air-to-air weapons simulations with real-time hit/miss notifications and weapons scoring capabilities.
Our "rangeless" ACT-R pods used for rangeless/autonomous training can operate in either the untethered or real-time monitor mode. Missile simulations are processed in the pod, with real-time kill notification provided to pilots via a synthesized voice call. Data can be transmitted to a ground monitoring station via Cubic's proven data link technology.
